The book of Esther tells the story of an orphan who became a queen, only to learn that her whole race were to be wiped out in one day.

Insignificant as Esther was in the kingdom God had placed her there for a reason: that she could thwart the plans of those who would have destroyed the Jews at this time.

God has plans for all of us. In Ephesians 2:10 we are told that He created us ‘for good works’ that He has already planned for us.

When Esther, fearing for her life tried to avoid the challenge her uncle Mordecai said this: ‘who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?’ This was her time. If she would not, God would use someone else, but this job was hers.

What has God planned for your life? Are you willing to take the challenge? If not, God’s purposes will come to pass, but you will miss the blessing.

When God challenges you to act, remember, God placed you there ‘for such a time as this’!
