“But if we judged ourselves we would not be judged” 1 Corinthians 11:31

As a church we can all too easily fall under condemnation for failure. Usually it is a failure that has been overlooked until it is pointed out to us.

If we need to have clear goals for our church, then we also need to have definite check points along the way to those goals. If we watch ourselves we will be less likely to overlook a failure, or a departure from our chosen path.

To be judged by others implies failure, to judge ourselves is godly housekeeping.
