It’s not theology, it’s not church government, it’s not gifts nor tongues, it’s not prophecy, it’s no way of thought nor action, but only the Person: Jesus Christ.

Nothing and no-one but Him can be the basis for building a local fellowship. Our allegiance must be to Him, our fellowship centred on Him, our worship to please Him, our preaching to make us like Him.

Only then can we look at the superstructure we build on this foundation – our works that will be tested by fire…

“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ.”
